Woman died after crash between a lorry and a van on the M5 near Quinton

A WOMAN died yesterday morning in a crash on the M5 near Quinton. Emergency services were called to the scene by Junction 3 at 5.20am after the collision between a lorry and a van.
A 45-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic responded to the scene.
The driver of the van, a man, was assessed and found to have suffered minor injuries.
He was taken to hospital for further check.
The lorry driver didn’t require treatment.
The motorway was closed while officers from the Central Motorway Police Group examined the scene.
They said their throughts were with the woman’s family and urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact police on 101.
