Two Edgbaston schoolchildren to take on Mount Snowdon to help deprived youngsters

Written by on June 12, 2018

TWO pupils from Hallfield School in Edgbaston will be trekking up Mount Snowdon to raise funds for children less fortunate.

Siblings Sian Doal in year five and Mohini Doal in year four will be the youngest people participating in the charity walk in the 100-strong group taking on the challenge on July 14.

The funds raised will go to the Zero Hunger with Langar charity which provides food for youngsters in Malawi, Aftica.

The charity’s founder Jag Singh said Sian and Mohini were extremely inspiring children – especially to their peers, adding the organisation was delighted to have them on board.

Richard Batchelor, Headmaster at Hallfield School, said: “I cannot put into words how proud I am of Sian and Mohini.
“They have already raised £2,000 with their fund-raising which is huge achievement.
“Their charitable work will make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged people in Africa.
“They have the full support of everyone at Hallfield.”
