Three hospitalised after two crashes in Shenley Lane

THERE were two crashes in Shenley Lane, Northfield and Selly Oak, yesterday morning.

Three people were injured in the collisions, one seriously. The first collision happened at around 3.15am when a car hit a parked car in Rickyard Close, off Cranesbill Road, ending up in a front garden.

A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Rickyard Close was closed for a time as investigations were carried out.

The second crash happened around 5am at the junction of Black Haynes Road and Shenley Lane when a BMW hit with a tree.

Two men, aged 38 and 43, were taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
