Rubery Festival hailed a great success

HUNDREDS of people of all ages went along to this year’s Rubery Festival on Sunday where there was plenty of family-friendly fun.
It started with a parade from the Royal British Legion to St Chad’s Park, which featured the army and sea cadets and the Crystals and Excels Dance troops.
In the park there was a roadshow featuring dancers, jugglers and live music, including Charley Thompson and Tammy More, the winners of Rubery’s Got Talent.
Other activities included charity stalls, children’s rides and a bouncy castle.
Organiser Tony Maslen said: “It was such a lovely day – it stayed dry and a great time for all.
“Thank you to everyone who participated, attended and helped out.”
