Police use PSPO powers in Moseley to deal with increase in public area drinking

Written by on June 13, 2018

POLICE in Moseley say they have dealt with several people under the Public Space Protection Order.

Alcohol was seized by the officers and the people were dispersed from the area on Sunday.

The police said this was, unfortunately, one of the symptoms of the hot weather.

The order was bought in to help police combat anti-social behaviour in Moseley and Kings Heath, including drinking in public and graffiti.

Items associated with those two activities can be confiscated by the officers.

Anyone wanting to report anti-social behaviour should call 101.
