Pictures released of suspects wanted over attack on security guards in Edgbaston

POLICE have released pictures of suspects they want to speak to in connection with an attack on two security guards in Edgbaston.

The incident happened at 8.30pm on February 3rd outside Morrisons on the Hagley Road.

The pair noticed four young men who they believed were responsible for an earlier theft.

As they confronted the group one of the guards was stabbed in the arm while the other was punched in the face. Pictures of three of the suspects which are available on the news section of the website.

PC Karen Astley,  West Midlands Police CID, said: “This was a completely unacceptable attack on two men who were simply just carrying out their job.

“Crimes like this will not be tolerated and we need members of the public to come forward and help with our investigation.”
