Police appeal after 27-year-old man dies in crash in Bournville

A 27-YEAR-OLD man has died after his car hit a tree in Bournville yesterday morning.
The incident, involving the Seat Ibza, happened just before 3.50am on Linden Road.
The man was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The road was closed while initial investigations were carried out but it was later re-opened.
PC Mark Crozier, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our sympathies are with the man’s family and we fully appreciate the pain they are going through.
“We are in the early stages of trying to establish how this occurred and are asking for anyone with information to speak to us.
“I would ask for anyone who was in the area around the time of this collision and may have seen or heard anything to make contact with us.”
He appealed for anyone with any information should call police on 101.
