Moseley man arrested over fatal crash in Sparkhill

A 33-YEAR-OLD Moseley man has been arrested following a crash in Sparkhill which left a mum-of-three dead.
Noreen Akhtar was struck by a car outside Cravings Café on Stratford Road, near the junction with Fernley Road, at 11.30pm on June 16.
The 38-year-old was taken to hospital with a serious head injury but she died the next afternoon.
The man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the car believed to be involved in the collision was found at his address in Birmingham this weekend.
He has been bailed with conditions.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is still appealing for information and Det Sgt Paul Hughes said there were a number of people in the area at the time who have not yet come forward.
There is also dash cam footage circulating through WhatsApp and on YouTube and the police also want to speak to the owner of it as they may hold vital information.
