FORMER railway stations in South Birmingham could be re-opened, according to the Transport Secretary Chris Grayling.

Careful consideration is being given to reinstate the stations at Moseley and Kings Heath.

They were closed to passengers more than 70 years ago but they are still used for freight.

The news provides a welcome boost to local campaigners who are trying to get the stations brought back into use.
