A MAN who died after being hit by a car just outside Birmingham City Centre in the early hours of Saturday morning has been named as Alex Knight.
The 38-year-old was hit by a black Seat Leon at 1.40am on Bristol Street, at the junction of Belgrave Middleway.
Alex’s family have paid tribute to him.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released while enquiries continue.
Dett Sgt Alan Hands from West Midlands Police’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are investigating the circumstances leading to this tragic event and have spoken to a number of witnesses already.
“There were several stationary cars on Bristol Street at the time, I would urge those drivers to get in touch if they have any information.
“The family are receiving support from family liaison officers and, our thoughts are them at this very sad time.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101.
