Man arrested in Edgbaston after crash where pedestrian was injured

A MAN was arrested over a number of driving offences after a car was abandoned in Edgbaston.
The vehicle crashed on Waterworks Road on Friday after hitting a pedestrian who sustained injuries to their knees.
Anthony Boulton, of Skipton Road, Ladywood, was arrested after a foot chase and was found hiding in a bush.
A struggle led to injuries being sustained by a police officer.
The man was charged with driving without a licence and insurance, aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after a collision and driving without due care and attention.
The 26-year-old is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on June 29.
