A MAN was arrested in Bartley Green earlier today on suspicion of drugs offences and breaching a gang injunction.
The 23-year-old was detained following a pre-planned operation in Bigwood Drive just before midday.
He was detained following the swoop which involved firearms officers.
He has been taken into custody for questioning.
The injunction he has been accused of breaching forbade him from entering parts of Birmingham and associating with others linked to criminal activity.
Insp Dave Sanders, from West Midlands Police, said: “We take drugs offences seriously and this arrest comes on the back of community intelligence.
“An injunction is not sought lightly and anyone who fails to abide with the conditions faces arrest and the risk of being prosecuted.
“We need the community to help us to help them by being our eyes and ears and let us know about any suspicions they may have.”
