Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School youngsters find out about ‘people who help us’ at Northfield Fire Station

Written by on June 22, 2018

THE CHILDREN from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School visited the Northfield Fire Station where they were given a tour of the building by Blue Watch.

The crew taught the children about fire safety, let them watch a DVD on the subject, gave them demonstrations of the equipment such as hoses and breathing apparatus and they even had the chance to sit in a fire engine.

The nursery, based at Longbridge Methodist Church, has been running a number of activities about ‘people who help us’.

On Father’s Day the children made cards and presents for their dads, granddads and uncles.

The older children drew pictures of their father figures and spoke about what made them special while the younger ones decorated bags which they filled with pencils and jellybabies for their dads.
