Fire at Grade II listed former cinema and bingo hall in Harborne is being treated as suspicious

A SEVERE fire which ripped through a historic Grade II listed building in Harborne earlier is being treated as suspicious.
The incident happened at the former cinema and Royalty bingo hall in Harborne High Street.
More than 50 firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service fought the blaze at its height, including crews from Northfield, Woodgate, Bournbrook, Ladywood, Kings Norton, Smethwick and Highgate
The High Street was closed and residents were advised to keep doors and windows closed because of smoke levels.
Witnesses or anyone with any information on the fire and how it was started should call police on 101.
