TRIBUTES have been paid to a dad who died after his car hit a tree in Bournville on Sunday.
Stephen Mahay, who was 27 and from Wolverhampton, sustained serious injuries in the crash which happened at 3.50am and involved his Seat Ibiza. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
Stephen’s family said his ‘energy and enthusiasm could light up any room’.
The statement added: “Stephen was a much-loved son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend and father.
“He was always coming up with ideas and advice, many people were blessed with his presence and will miss him terribly.
“He was recently baptised and working out his plans for his life. ”
The family requested privacy and requested no flowers. Instead they want people to make charitable donations in his memory.
