Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre to close for six days

BIRMINGHAM’S National Sea Life Centre will close its doors today for six days while it undergoes an extensive refurbishment.
It will be the first time it has been shut in its 22-year history and is part of a multi-million pound revamp.
Works will run until Sunday and be the biggest large scale investment since the opening of the Penguin Ice Adventure exhibition in 2014.
The changes will enable the venue to house new creatures in the future, some which will never have been seen before in the UK.
The National Sea Life Centre Birmingham is home to over 2,000 creatures, many which have been rescued or successfully bred as part of the global SEA LIFE breeding projects.
