Bartley Green Police issue warning to drivers parking inconsiderately

Written by on June 11, 2018

POLICE in Bartley Green have been warning motorists to be more considerate about how they park their vehicles.

And to get their point across, officers tweeted this picture of a car badly parked on a pavement, along with the message: “When parking your vehicle, please be considerate to others – our advice is to leave enough room for a wheelchair or double buggy to pass.

“PCSOs in the West Midlands have powers to issue fixed penalty notices for wilful or unnecessary obstruction.”

A similar scheme run by Moseley and Kings Heath Police has seen drivers fined and receive penalty points for parking dangerously or irresponsibly.
