95th Harborne Scouts group appeals for wood for its bonfire after vandals burnt its haul

Written by on October 22, 2018

‎AN APPEAL has been launched by a South Birmingham scout group for wood for its bonfire after the haul it had collected was burnt by vandals.

The organisers of the popular annual event – the 95th Birmingham Harborne Scout Group – now have a race against time to get enough wood for a decent blaze at the event and they have asked for people’s help.

Anyone who has got any wood that would be suitable to burn and could be donated should email Kate at [email protected].

The event itself is on Saturday, November 3 at St Peter’s Church.

The gates open at 6pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks display is at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children and £15 for a family admission (two adults and two children).

It will go a long way to keep the group running.

The 95th Harborne troop caters for more than 100 young people in the area.
