Following an attempted break-in Cllr Oliver Armstrong of  Northfield Arts Forum calls for local help

The newly-elected Northfield councillor called for help from local volunteers on B31 Voices today after the ground Northfield Arts Forum recently acquired had become a victim of an attempted break-in last night (31st May)

The property is a dreary, old tarmac space just off Northfield High Street where a team of wonderful volunteers are trying to transform it in to a community garden for local people.

Cllr. Armstrong said, “all help is welcome; all skills and all people”.

It is believed that at some point during last night (31st May), somebody attempted to break in to the land and in the process destroyed the padlock of the gate. This has meant that none of the Northfield Arts Forum volunteers have been able to enter the property today to continue their invaluable community effort.

Oliver Armstrong is really hoping that local volunteers can get down to the property to aid them in setting up a beautiful and relaxing community garden.

If you would like to volunteer your services – please email Northfield Arts Forum at [email protected] or comment on the B31 Voices post embedded in to this article above.
